About CAGC

The Club

This is a private, members-only range. Memberships are available. All events and matches are open to the public. Facilities include 14 pistol bays, 100 & 300 yard rifle ranges, two falling plate pistol bays, one rimfire and one pistol steel bay, an archery range, a shotgun pavilion with two traps (bring your own clays), and an air conditioned clubhouse. The range is located roughly 14 miles east of Montgomery, near Shorter, Alabama on Macon County Road 2.

Central Alabama Gun Club is open to members only. The general public may shoot scheduled matches but general access to the range is restricted.

To become a member of CAGC you must have a current CAGC member as a sponsor.

Club Meetings

The club meets on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM at the clubhouse. On club meeting days the gate opens for visitors and prospective new members, and membership applications can be completed and submitted at the meeting.

Winter sabbatical: no club meetings until February. Officers will be at the clubhouse on the first Saturday each month, 9:30 to 10:30 AM, for new members to sign up.
