How to Join

Become a Member of the Central Alabama Gun Club

Central Alabama Gun Club is open to members only. The general public may shoot scheduled matches but general access to the range is restricted.

To become a member of CAGC you must have a current CAGC member as a sponsor. Membership forms may be requested by the current member by emailing cagcmembership@gmail.com.

Requirements

A current CAGC member as your sponsor. CAGC members may sponsor one new member per year.
A valid NRA membership number.
Attend a club meeting for the mandatory safety briefing and to obtain a key card.
The membership application, with its certification and the release and waiver of liability, signed.
The one-time initiation fee and the prorated annual dues.

Fees

$100 initiation fee, one time.
$160 a year annual dues. The membership year runs June 1 through May 31.
New member dues are prorated based on the month you join (table below).
Family members are included: a spouse and children under age 19 are associate members and come to the range with you.
Renewals are mailed out in late March or early April. If you do not receive your renewal by the middle of April, contact an officer or attend the May meeting for the paperwork.

Joining in October: $100 initiation fee plus $107 prorated dues, $207 in all.

At the Club Meeting

The club meets on the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 AM. On club meeting days the gate opens for visitors and prospective new members. Membership applications can be completed and submitted for membership at the meeting.

Winter sabbatical: no club meetings until February. Officers will be at the clubhouse on the first Saturday each month, 9:30 to 10:30 AM, for new members to sign up. Next opportunity to join: Saturday October 3. Cash or check.

Online

Apply and pay online, then come to the club meeting for the safety briefing and your key card.

The online application takes a few minutes: your details, your NRA number, your sponsor, the certification and the release and waiver, signed on the page, and payment by card. Your membership is activated when an officer records your key card at the meeting.

Guests

Members may bring up to two guests per visit. Individuals are allowed to visit the range as a guest once per year.
